Smithy’s Bar – Review

Well what can you say about Smithy’s,  what an amazing night, amazing venue and great host.  We arrived to a venue which had already got quite a few punters in and luckily for us the stage area had been cleared of house equipment, even though we had offered to help.

Stage left was a very shiny Harley Davidson for decoration, very Rock & Roll,  although it did mean we had a bit less space to squish into and didn’t leave much room for Marks half Stack,  but he eventually got it in at a 45 degree angle.

Set up done & sound check done we were pleased to see many more punters arriving and again some familiar faces,  thanks to Steve Lakin for his support and advice, although not sure a gob iron bit is really our thing at the mo.  Thanks too to Tracy and Neil who came all the way from Walsall to see us play,  glad you enjoyed it.

All in all it was a great night and we had a lot of very positive feedback and we will be back to Smithy’s for a summer special outdoor event on a more relaxed footing which should give us chance to get to know our followers better so hope to see you all there.

Our plectrums, signatures and drumsticks now adorn the Smithy’s wall of fame,  which reminds me we must get some more badges.

Well done Adam for putting together a great band venue which is going from strength to strength.
