The Chase Inn – Review

This is the first time TTB had been to the Chase in Brownhills,  indeed this was a new live music venue who were keen to become a leading place for live performances, and to that end had built a new stage area for bands to perform on.   Providing PA, lights and smoke effects.  The stage  was adequate, but may have benefitted from a bit more width and the space in front of stage being filled in.  But we are a 5 piece and the area was plentiful for smaller outfits.  There was plenty of power outlets and the colourful drapes surrounding the stage added to the effect.

We were greeted by Debs who was very welcoming and made us all feel well at home,  being plied with home made onion bargies and the odd free drink made us feel that much more relaxed and happy.  The beer was excellent and the crowd was very enthusiastic,  although we could have done with a few more in, this was a new venture and it was a Friday night,  which all agreed might have been a mistake, as most people were expecting main live music events on the Saturday.

We soon got set up and after a quick sound check were off.  Some way through the first set we noticed Kirsty waving at us,  appently all had gone quite and the PA had quit,  but we carried on playing whilst Mick and the souund guys battled with cables etc until they got it going again.  Apart from that little glitch all went well and those there seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Looking forward to playing again in the future, see you all then.   I would recommend this place to any bands looking for expanding there covered area.
