The George and Dragon Review
Yet another great gig at the George and Dragon in Ashbourne. As usual we arrived in plenty of time and paid our car parking dues, especially as rumours abound of over zealous traffic wardens on the prowl. We soon got set up and carried out our sound check which included Mick road testing his new wireless microphone by strolling around the whole pub muttering one two, one two, one two, one two, yep that works!
As is normal with the George & Dragon things started a bit slow with just a few punters in residence but this soon changed when we cranked up, with a steady stream of punters arriving till the place was packed by the end of the first set.
Feedback was really positive and gratefully received, a couple even said that our version of Dakota was actually better than the Stereophonics live which they had been to see recently – they were convinced that we had a backing tape going, Glen commented that if we had, then why was he the only one actually playing? nope it was all us.
Looking forward to our return on 19th July – see you all then.
