The Lamb Inn – Review

Following on from the Ram the night before we were faced with yet another new venue to us.  Quite a small place  situated on the main road with houses opposite.  We were greeted by a young chap (about 10 or so) who preceded to help  us with our gear and quizzed every member of the band on equipment function during the whole set up procedure.

Everyone in the Lamb was very friendly and the landlady was very welcoming.   A number of our supporters showed up and a few new faces who had spotted us  on Nottingham Gig Guide and come out all the way from Derby for the night, thanks for your support.

The first set went well and the sound was pretty good, possibly due to the acoustics in the room being good for bands.   Playing with gusto to the revolving glitter ball we had a great time,  although Marks amp threw a wobbly and he couldn’t change channels, so a bit of remedial work was required to get  him back on track, we got there in the end and a good time was had by all.

Talking to the Landlady outside inthe the sub zero temperatures, she offered us to come down in the summer for a festival she was putting on in aid of charity, which we were happy to help with.

We’re in for a bit of a break now as the Bradley house cancelled to accommodate a wedding party.

See you all at the Crown in Heather, we’ll be ready.
