The Oak – Gig Review

This was our last appearance at The Oak in Whitwick because it’s closing down at the end of the month. In their wisdom, or more accurately the search for more profit, the brewery have sold it off to be knocked down and turned into housing, just the latest in the catalogue of disasters for the Great British pub scene.

The locals must already have found another drinking hole because there wasn’t many of them in tonight, nevertheless for those that were there including our travelling army, we did our best to put on a good show and in a strange kinda way, it’s nice to think that we were the last ever band to play The Oak, R.I.P
