The Old Royal Oak – Review
This was our second appearance at this famous old pub in the old market place at Burton on Trent. When we arrived the place was very quite so we set up our gear which usually takes us an hour or so and sat down and waited. We had quite a few friends and family in to keep us company which is just as well because half an hour before show time there was only about 4 other people at the bar.
Any band will tell you that nothing is more de-moralising than playing to a sparse audience, however we needn’t have worried because by the time we hit the stage, the place had filled up quite nicely and stayed that way right until the end. In recent weeks we have re-jigged our set a bit, bringing in some new numbers and changing the running order so we build to a killer climax and tonight the end of our closing set had the crowd pretty vocal shouting for more, which we duly obliged.
We are back at The Old Royal Oak later this year on 15th December and they booked us for some more dates next year, thanks for your support guys.
