The George & Dragon – Review

Another Friday night and another trip out to Ashbourne to one of our favourite venues, The George and Dragon,  we all arrived in plenty of time and after a bit of musical cars to find parking spaces in the very full car park we settled to getting our gear in.  There’s been a bit of a re-furb at the George and people were still eating on the tables situated in the playing area, so we had a...

The Stumble Inn- Review

The Anglesey Arms is at the top of the hill and is  a large building with a number of separate bar areas.  On entering the bar area we were directed to the Lounge by some nice people having a tipple.  ...

The Nags Head – Review

This one was a bit of a surprise for us,  having received a call from Jackie from the Nags Head on the Saturday asking if we could fill in the following day for a cancellation.    After a few frantic phone calls and a visit to Glen’s work we confirmed we could do it and now we were here. Most of the guys had turned up pretty  early, getting there for 4 ish for a 5.30 to 6 start.   However...
